Okay,okay I know we have been talking about these bunk beds for a long time now, and except for a little more painting, they are finally done and we are super excited about them! We talked about bunks for some time but had to start the project sooner than later when Luke climbed out of his crib at 20 months determined to sleep with his brothers and refusing another night in his crib. It was cute but cramped and someone was always waking up crawling into our bed. Time to call Papa!
So I put in a call to Papa and the construction started at the end of October, Papa and Chris built the beds, Grammy watched the kids and Mama usually worked. Add in a few holidays and weekends in between and a plea at the end of January to come help us finish the details, we are finally finished.
We LOVE these beds, they are built-in, sturdy, full size and amazing. The top bunks feel like a fort, the bottom bunks like cozy caves. Each full size bed has a custom head board with built in lights and a plug. The stairs each have a drawer for extra storage and not to be out shined Chris decided the closet had to go and be replaced with built-in dressers. My Dad and my hubby did an amazing job building a one of a kind room for our three of a kind kids!
